Could you talk about the path of Kudi No. 2 Machinery's establishment and development?

A:

In 2015, we established a cooperation with a CNC system R&D team led by a doctor from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

In 2017, we developed China's first continuous cutting CNC system.

In 2018, Guangdong Kudi No. 2 Machinery Laser Equipment Co., Ltd. was established. In the same year, we launched China's first belt-supported laser continuous blanking equipment and successfully won the bid for the production line of Ningbo Baosteel, completing the delivery that year.

Since its establishment, Kudi No. 2 Machinery has launched multiple products and delivered multiple continuous blanking lines to customers, establishing a certain industry influence and market reputation.

Currently, the automotive industry is the main business area of Kudi No. 2 Machinery, and we have successively signed several automotive sheet metal blanking projects.

Why did Kudi No. 2 Machinery choose to focus on laser CNC technology?

A:

Kudi No. 2 Machinery focuses on laser CNC technology because CNC technology is the core of the entire laser blanking process, and it is also a technological barrier. It is the core part that guarantees the competitiveness of our products.

Kudi No. 2 Machinery has always focused on the uncoiling and blanking process. All our products are centered around continuous blanking.

Kudi No. 2 Machinery has recently launched many new products. Please introduce their features and industry applications.

A:

The epidemic has affected the entire business environment, but we believe that the fundamentals of the industry are still good.

During the epidemic, we made great strides in R&D, developing three products and completing their launch.

The first is a continuous blanking equipment with one beam and two cutting heads.

The second is a continuous blanking equipment with three cutting heads, that is, multiple cutting heads.

The third is our flagship product this year. We call it the "blanking artifact": a reciprocating laser blanking equipment.

This artifact is particularly suitable for cookware and kitchenware. It is a very advantageous product. It does not require any infrastructure, is relatively small in size, does not require molds, and can improve material utilization rate by 5-10 percentage points.

From all aspects, it has strong competitiveness.

Our blanking artifact has also received market attention and popularity.

Next month, we will launch the product, and the prototype has already been pre-ordered by a strong customer.

What impact did the epidemic have on Kudi No. 2 Machinery? What are Manager Zhang's views on industrial development after the epidemic?

A: The impact of the epidemic was significant, especially before June, when customer demand for equipment purchases slowed down. After June, our customers and technology gradually returned to normal, and business gradually picked up. For Kudi No. 2 Machinery, there will be a concentrated outbreak of orders in the third and fourth quarters. Some potential customers will also gradually start communication. The overall trend is positive.

What are your expectations for the future development of the laser industry?

A:

I believe that in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing, driven by the combined efforts of strong national policy support, capital market assistance, and industry enterprises' diligent efforts, Chinese enterprises can gradually transform and upgrade from simple assembly factories to those with independent R&D of core components.

China's development will get better and better, and our equipment manufacturing industry will also get better and better.
